Wahéhshon Whitebean and Cheyenne Neszo have been named recipients of Rathlyn Fellowships. Awarded annually through the Indigenous Studies Program at ۲ݮƵ, Rathlyn Fellowships support Indigenous graduate students at ۲ݮƵ in their studies and research. Each Fellowships is worth $15,000.

The Rathlyn Fellowship is given out each year through the Indigenous Studies Program at ۲ݮƵ.

On May 25, First Nations, Inuit, and Métis students graduating from ۲ݮƵ this spring were celebrated at a virtual Scarf Ceremony, attended by family, friends and senior members of the ۲ݮƵ community.

On April 4th 2023, Associate Provost (Indigenous Initiatives) Celeste Pedri-Spade and Associate Provost Angela Campbell (Equity and Academic Policies) had the pleasure of welcoming 15 new Indigenous faculty and staff members to ۲ݮƵ University.The new ۲ݮƵians include First Nations, Métis and Inuk people from across Canada. Brittany Wenniserí:iostha Jock, Assistant Professor in the School of Human Nutrition, was one of seven Indigenous staff members from a wide range of disciplines who partook in ۲ݮƵ’s 4th annual Indigenous Faculty and Staff Welcome Ceremony held February 14th. The 90-minute online ceremony was designed to highlight the University’s commitment to increasing the Indigenous presence on campus.
