After two years as the President and CEO of the Société québécoise du cannabis (SQDC), Jacques Farcy (EMBA’21) is assuming the same titles at the Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ), a Quebec government crown corporation that sells and distributes alcohol. “I am very enthusiastic about the prospect of contributing to the SAQ’s development and working with each member of the great SAQ team, to satisfy each and every customer on a daily basis and generate value for Quebec,” Farcy said in a press release.

Three more teams at the ۲ݮƵ Desautels Faculty of Management have been recognized for their exceptional commitment to sustainable workplace practices. The IT Customer Service department and the Bachelor of Commerce program have both earned Bronze Certifications, while the ۲ݮƵ Executive Institute earned a Silver Certification. Eleven teams across ۲ݮƵ University joined the Sustainable Workplace Certification program hosted by the ۲ݮƵ Office of Sustainability, five of which are from the Faculty of Management.

About thirty managers and entrepreneurs attended a recent ۲ݮƵ Mini-MBA course in Matane, Quebec. It was the first time this type of course has been delivered in one of Quebec’s regions beyond Montreal and was the brainchild of local businessman François Rioux (MBA’10). “When you are on-location, you can see the energy and better understand the stakes, the challenges, and the successes,” says Eric Saine, the Executive Director of ۲ݮƵ Executive Education.
