Funding supports groundbreaking research in the natural sciences and engineering
The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) has awarded 101 ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ research projects funding from its Discovery Grants competition for a total investment of $23.5 million.
The Discovery Grants support ongoing programs with long-term goals, recognizing the creativity and innovation that are at the heart of all research advances.
A ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University-led research team working in collaboration with a French team (CNRS, INSERM and Sorbonne university) believes it has identified both the neurological mechanism underlying anorexia nervosa as well as a possible cure.
Seven ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University researchers have been awarded over $190,000 in Connection Grants by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). The awards are part of $1.7 million in federal funding invested in 54 projects nationwide.Ìý
