Paul F. McCullagh Fellowship (two Awards, Value $ 4,000 each)

Established by Emeritus Professor Paul F. McCullagh, who taught Classics at ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ from 1926 to 1988, for a student pursuing graduate work in the study of Latin language and literature or Ancient Greek language and literature. Awarded by the GPSO on the recommendation of theÌýClassical Studies Committee.Ìý

Note: the McCullagh Fellowships may be awarded to accomplishedÌýreturning MA students or to highly promising incoming MA students.

RAships, TAships, and Internal Awards (value varies)

The classics program is able to offers some MA students RAships, and all incoming and returning MA students are encouraged to apply for TAships through the department of History and Classical Studies. MA students are also encouraged to apply for TAships in other departments.ÌýFunding through these sources varies. A full TAship (180 hours in one term) currently pays in excess of $5000, while most RAships are between $1000 and $2500. The Classics program cannot guarantee RAships or TAships to all incoming and returning MA students. In addition, Classical Studies normally can offer two internal awards of $4500 a piece.Ìý
