Dr. Nathalie Duchesne
Associate Professor in Radiology at Université Laval, Québec city, Dr. Nathalie Duchesne has been teaching and practicing Medical and Breast Imaging and Intervention in Canada and internationally for the past 21 years.
In 2003, she founded The Breast Practices â„¢ which comprised the world famous The Breast Courseâ„¢, The Breast Daysâ„¢, The Breast Webinarsâ„¢, The Breast Scholarshipâ„¢ and The Breast Chartsâ„¢. These courses and teaching opportunities allowed her to successfully teach Breast Diseases and Intervention in interdisciplinary for 13 years to more 3500 physicians from more than 65 countries.
Nathalie has been involved in various humanitarian initiatives since 2001, teaching and counselling governments, NGOs and physicians in different part of the world, such as China, Tunisia and Maghreb countries, Egypt, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, Tanzania and Vietnam, thereby contributing to setting up breast practices with good quality control mechanisms and standards.
Through her career, Dr. Duchesne has authored and co-authored many publications in the field and has an impressive track record of international invited conferences and lectures.
Dr. Duchesne’s clinical and research work in breast imaging and intervention has been recognized nationally and internationally by numerous awards from the Canadian and Quebec radiologists’ associations, the national and international scientific community as well as her peers. With the industry, she has contributed in developing tools for breast imaging and intervention and is now collaborating on an MR-guided biopsy tele-operation system project.
Having recently completed a Certificate in Global Health Radiology, Dr Duchesne is currently terminating her International Master Degree in Health Leadership with ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University and will begin a Master degree in Public Health in the coming months, with the hope of improving global health care delivery and management with a better coordination and sustainability of the international assistance and efforts.
