Learning through sharing in the IMPMÂ
Desautels Professor Henry Mintzberg criticized the failures of MBAs in his 2004 book, Managers Not MBAs. And if that was his initial volley on the subject, then the International Masters Program for Managers (IMPM) is his manifesto. It represents a new paradigm, based on having participants share their knowledge and learn through experience, rather than using the usual MBA method.
The IMPM consists of five modules hosted by schools in the UK, China, Brazil, India, and China, as well as at ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ. As the students travel from module to module, they learn about business practices and daily life in the host country.Â
