Yolande E. Chan Professor in Information Systems winner of AIS LEO Award
Dean Yolande E. Chan has been chosen by the Association for Information Systems (AIS) as a 2023 recipient of the prestigious AIS LEO Award. The awards were announced at the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) on December 11, 2023, held in Hyderabad, India.
Established in 1999, this award, which is named for the world’s first business application of computing (The Lyons Electronic Office), recognizes truly outstanding individuals in the field of information systems. Recipients of the LEO Award are distinguished scholars who have made a global impact on the field of information systems. They have made exceptional and sustained global contributions in the field throughout their careers.
The LEO Award is a singular honour that recognizes Chan’s seminal work. A distinguished Cum Laude member and Fellow of the AIS, she is regarded as a preeminent representative of the information systems community.
The AIS serves society through the advancement of knowledge and the promotion of excellence in the practice and study of information systems and is the premier professional association for individuals and organizations who lead the research, teaching, practice, and study of information systems worldwide.
