Biography: 

Dr. Martin Drapeau is a Clinical Psychologist and Professor of Counselling Psychology and of Psychiatry at ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University, Adjunct Professor of Clinical Psychology (University of Sherbrooke), and a Researcher affiliated with Équipe RENARD (University of Montreal), the Qualaxia Network, and the International Center for Comparative Criminology. Former FRSQ Research Scholar, he has also served as Vice President of the Order of Psychologists of Quebec, Project Director at the Lady Davis Institute for Medical Research, Canadian Representative on the American Psychological Association’s Council, and Editor of several journals including Canadian Psychology, and the Canadian Journal of Behavioral Science.

Dr. Drapeau has served on numerous taskforces of the Canadian Psychological Association, the Ministry of Health, the College of Psychologists, the Canadian Council of Academies, and the National Institute for Excellence in Health and Social Services. An elected member of the College of New Scholars of the Royal Society of Canada, he has received awards from the Society for Psychotherapy Research, ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University, the Canadian Psychological Association, among other institutions.

Dr. Drapeau has published in the areas of psychotherapy process and psychopathology and has an active research program on knowledge dissemination and best practices in psychology and psychotherapy. With more than 200 publications and 250+ scientific presentations, Dr. Drapeau has received research funding from CIHR, SSHRC, DAAD, FRQSC, FRQS, APsyA, MDEIE, CFI, IPRF, the Graham Boeckh Foundation, and CPA..

He is the Co-Director of the ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Science and Practice in Psychology (SAPP) Research Lab, Lead Researcher for the Best Practices in Psychology Portal, and Co-Founder of Medipsy Psychological Services.
