The CCFP(EM) group held their annual end of year celebration at Elena Restaurant on June 19, 2024. The event served as an opportunity to express gratitude and bid farewell to another exceptional group of residents while enjoying great food & refreshments and reminiscing about the past year.
During the celebration, several awards were presented to outstanding individuals. The Resident Teaching Award, created by Dr. Anali Maneshi, was given to Dr. Alan Huynh in recognition of his exceptional dedication to teaching and his engaging and innovative approach. Dr. Huynh's efforts have gone above and beyond, and his contributions have been greatly appreciated by the group.
The SMH group also presented their annual Dr. Chugthai Award, which recognizes the resident who best exemplifies the qualities of the legendary St-Mary's Hospital physician. This year's recipient was Dr. Leanne Ronci猫re, who has consistently demonstrated outstanding clinical acumen and has been described by staff as "quietly outstanding." Her dedication and skill have made her a valuable member of the team.
Finally, the Dr. Zach Levine Award for Teacher of the Year was bestowed upon Dr. Tan Le. Dr. Le has tirelessly supported the program for many years, and his calm demeanor and resident-centered approach have been appreciated by all. The cohort's decision to honor Dr. Le with this award is a testament to his outstanding contributions to the program.
The CCFP(EM) group would like to express their gratitude to all the hardworking staff who have supported the residents throughout the year. The residents are fortunate to have such a dedicated and supportive department behind them.
The group wishes the residents the best of luck on their upcoming exam in September and is confident that they will make the department proud.
