Bio: Dr. Bassam Alomar, health informatics emergency medicine fellow, department of emergency medicine, ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University. He is from pediatric background, finished his pediatric medicine board and pediatric emergency medicine fellowship back home in Saudi Arabia, worked as a staff for 2 years prior to be enrolled in his current fellowship. Dr. Bassam has an interest in workflow improvement, big data management and machine learning.

BIO: Dr. Saleh Alsaeed, health informatics emergency medicine fellow, department of emergency medicine, ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University. He is from pediatric background, finished his pediatric medicine board back home in Saudi Arabia, and pediatric emergency medicine fellowship in McMaster prior to be enrolled in his current fellowship. Dr. Saleh has an interest in workflow and human behavior.

11 am – Topic - AI use for radiology workflow optimization and benefits for the ED - By Dr. Adrian Florea

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify areas of radiology workflow that can be optimized through the use of AI
  2. Discover benefits of management of incidental findings through AI workflow optimization
  3. Discuss benefits of AI image classification for the Emergency Department

BIO: Dr Adrian Florea practices Emergency Medicine at Saint Mary's Hospital and the MUHC. He has completed a Masters in Biomedical Informatics and shares an interest in clinical decision support, the use of AI in imaging informatics and predictive analytics.
