Our Approach

In an increasingly dynamic and multicultural workforce, high-performing organizations seek members that can successfully manage interpersonal dynamics and collaborate across differences. Having these skills in today’s world requires a sensitivity to and genuine understanding of EDI.

The Teamwork Program provides support for instructors to develop skills, materials, and strategies to enhance their teaching using principles of EDI. This directly impacts the classroom experience, challenging students to apply an EDI lens to project teamwork that comprises both interpersonal and technical design components.

By partnering with courses that have pre-existing teamwork components (group projects, labs, etc.), and assigning reflective group assignments, we help instructors ensure that students can immediately put their new skills and knowledge into action. Ultimately, this program encourages both students and faculty to take proactive steps to improve the ways we work and learn together, supporting interpersonal and technical success within and beyond the classroom.
