The Department of Family Medicine approaches global health as an opportunity to support primary health care everywhere, and especially among underserved and vulnerable populations.
Our global health activities are defined by a commitment to health equity, respectful community engagement and the support of people-centered primary care services.
We do this through our work in the multicultural communities of Montreal and our diverse partnerships across ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ and globally. We believe diversity sparks creativity and that collaboration is central to making a difference.Â
Our global health research addresses a range of issues spanning infectious and chronic diseases, safe motherhood, aging, HIV, community-based care, and indigenous health, as well as others identified by our community partners.
