They are conducting a research study to determine how the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has impacted health care workers across the globe. It has been translated in a few languages.

Now in its seventh year, the WHFÌýEmerging Leaders ProgrammeÌýprovides training and networking opportunities in cardiovascular health policy and implementation research for healthcare practitioners, researchers, and global health advocates, while focusing on a different priority area every year.
This year, 25 successful candidates will be joining our 150-strong global community of leaders in cardiovascular health to explore the topic ofÌýcardiovascular disease prevention among people living with diabetes.
Participants will participate in online training, a five-day think tank seminar onÌý20-25 September 2020ÌýinÌýLisbon, Portugal, and collaborative group work based on proposals developed during the seminar, with seed funding support for deserving applications.
We aim to reach as many potential candidates as possible on a global basis. Candidates from academia, civil service, private industry and cardiovascular medicine are all encouraged to apply.

(1) Work with the CIHR to integrate sex- and gender-based analyses, to ensure research takes diversity factors into account to improve women’s health care. (2)ÌýProvide funding to the CIHR so that it can create academic research grants for studies on gender.
