Dr. Gauri Shankar Guha Award in International Development Education

Established in 2003 by Dr. Ratna Ghosh in her late father’s name to recognize and promote the academic achievement of an outstanding graduate student pursuing research in international development education in the Faculty of Education.

Jack Schoel Scholarships

Eligibility Awarded annually for academic excellence to either incoming or continuing students studying Jewish Education. Awarded by the Faculty of Education’s Student Affairs on the recommendation of the Coordinator of the Jewish Education Programs. Any amount not awarded to undergraduate students may be awarded to graduate students who meet the terms of the award.

Jackie Kirk Fellowships

Established in 2009 by Andrew Kirk in memory of his wife, Jackie Kirk, for outstanding graduate students in the Faculty of Education.

Eligibility Awarded annually by the Faculty of Education to outstanding graduate students in the Faculty.  Preference will be given to those students whose research has a focus on any one or a combination of the following: post-conflict education on developing countries, women teachers, and girlhood studies.

Eligibility Established in 2009 by Andrew Kirk in memory of his wife, Jackie Kirk, to recognize and promote the scholarship and achievements of students in the Faculty of Education conducting fieldwork.

Raschkowan Fellowship

Established in 2015 by Norman Raschkowan, BCom 1980, MBA 1985, to support outstanding graduate students entering or in the Faculty of Education who are pursuing research in the International Centre for Youth Gambling Problems and High-Risk Behaviors. The award can be used to facilitate participation in relevant conferences, help advance research and ongoing student support.

The Stansfield Award for School-Based Classroom Research

Established in 2000 by a bequest by Ellen Edith Grubb Stansfield, B.A. 1929, M.A. 1931, in recognition of her experience, leadership and interest in education in general, schools and classrooms in particular.

Eligibility Awarded by the Faculty of Education to a full-time graduate student whose research focuses on schools and classrooms and who is in the beginning stages of a thesis program (M.A. or Ph.D.).

Tim Casgrain Fellowship

Established in 2009 by the Canadian Foundation for Economic Education (CFEE) to honour and recognize the contributions of Tim Casgrain, B.A. 1969, to improve literacy and economic and fiscal capability in Canada.

Eligibility Awarded to outstanding graduate students in the Faculty of Education whose area of studies focuses on efforts to improve literacy in Canada, with a preference to new specific areas of literacy (including economic, financial, technological, and cultural literacy).

Walter A. and K. Mary Marsh Fellowships in the Faculty of Education

Established in 2009 by K. Mary Marsh in memory of her husband, Walter A. Marsh, for outstanding graduate students in the Faculty of Education.

Eligibility Awarded by the Faculty of Education to outstanding graduate students in the Faculty who have demonstrated leadership qualities. Preference will be given to Master’s and Ph.D. students conducting research with a focus on teaching.
