Preparing a Co-op Job Offer Letter

The employer must provide an official job offer letter to the student that includes the following details:

  • The job position title
  • Address of work
  • Start and end dates of work (13-16 weeks for 4-month co-op internships, or 28-32 weeks for 8-month internships, or 41-48 weeks for 12-month internships). Internships must start either in January, May, or September to align with ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ calendar restrictions for co-op work terms.
  • Hours per week (standard is 35-40.Ìý Minimum requirement: 35 hours per week)
  • Name of supervisor
  • Rate of pay

The student and the employer must sign and return the co-op job offer letter prior to the start of the planned co-op work term.
