- Stay tuned for upcoming event updates in 2025!
MI4 would like to thank all attendees, speakers, volunteers, photographers, and technicians who made this year’s symposium an unforgettable experience!
On December 4, 2024, you joined us in great numbers at MI4's 6th Annual Scientific Symposium to explore the theme of "Microbiome: Decoding the Invisible World". Our keynote presentation by Prof. Yasmine Belkaid was compelling and engaging, shedding new light on an ancient process - breastfeeding - with novel and unexpected insights from ongoing immunologic studies.
The three local experts who followed Prof. Belkaid could only be described as captivating. Dr. Corinne Maurice shared her research on gut microbial dynamics. Dr. Yoram Shir explored the microbiome's role in pain management and its potential implications for clinical practice. Dr. Emmanuel Gonzalez presented the latest advancements in computational analysis of microbiome data collected in Space.
Concluding the day's events, Dr. Matthew Cheng highlighted key aspects of how academic discoveries are being translated into innovative biotech solutions, bridging the gap between research and real-world application.
