Administrative Structure
The minimally invasive surgery program is a multidisciplinary program charged with coordinating the clinical activities, resources, research and education across surgical specialties at the ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University Health Centre, and advising other ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ teaching hospitals when asked.
The Steinberg-Bernstein Centre for Minimally Invasive Surgery was established at the Montreal General Hospital by a generous endowment from Florenz Steinberg Bernstein in 1995. Resources from this endowment have been used to establish an endowed chair in MIS and Innovation at the ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ University Health Centre. It has also supported faculty development and the establishment of a physical identity for the MIS program at ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ.
