Participants Call-out: Fall 2024 Interfaith Dialogue Program

This program is hosted jointly by ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ's Office of Religious and Spiritual Life (MORSL), and Concordia's Multi-faith and Spirituality Centre (MFSC). The 4 workshops will be held Wednesdays 5:00 - 6:30 PM on November 6, 13, 20 & 27. Workshops will be in person only (no recorded sessions, no remote participation). Two workshops will be held on the ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ downtown campus, and two will be held on the Concordia downtown campus.

The interfaith dialogue program is designed to help students build skills and practice dialogue across differences of belief and worldview. Students learn about and practice skills related to listening and asking open-ended questions, and are presented with opportunities to discuss experiences with religion and spirituality in an environment of mutual respect and curiosity. Students practice the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in a pluralistic setting as part of preparing future-ready students and global citizens.

At the end of this workshop, participants will:
• Gain fundamental knowledge of diverse faith traditions and spiritualities, including their own
• Understand and practice the basic ethics of interfaith dialogue and respectful engagement
