Showcase Presenter Information

Who can present?

Undergraduate students from all Faculties are welcome to participate in the Showcase by presenting a poster or creative project. The Showcase is hosted by the Faculty of Science, but all students are welcome, including first-time and seasoned presenters. Come one, come all!

What types of presentations are welcome?

All science-related work is welcome, whether you are a student in the Faculty of Science or not. Student presentations can focus on assignments completed in class, research about science education, passion projects, and more!
This year, the Showcase will feature both posters and creative projects of your imagining! Take a peek at past posters to view the different poster formats possible.ÌýCreative presentation formats could include films, poems, art, photography, performance, etc.

What does presenting a poster entail?

1. Participate in a Showcase workshop and/or feedback clinic: This is a requirement to participate in the Showcase.ÌýUnlike many research events, the Showcase is celebratory and non-competitive. We see the Showcase as an opportunity to learn and develop essential science communications skills. We're offering workshops and feedback clinics both online and in-person, so you can select the date and format that work best for you. View workshop and feedback clinic dates here.Ìý

2. Submit a poster by March 10th: The Showcase covers the cost and logistics of printing posters for all presenters. We require all poster files by March 10 to ensure posters will be prepared in time.

3.ÌýAttending the Showcase on March 25th: The Showcase will be held in-person on March 25th, 5-8 PM.
*If you are not available on March 25th, you can still participate in the Showcase; instead of presenting live, your poster will be shared on our website.ÌýPlease indicate this in your registration form submission.

What does presenting a creative project entail?

We welcome projects of all shapes and sizes and will consult with creative presenters on an individual basis to ensure that they are prepared to share their work at the Showcase. Workshop and feedback clinic attendance is not required, though creative presenters are welcome to attend.

What does the event feel like?

Reflective of the Showcase's celebratory spirit, many presenters have shared that they felt excited and proud during the Showcase! Each year, over 400 attendees from the ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ and Montreal community generate a buzz as they learn from presenters. Take a peek at our to get a sense of how the event transpires!
