Inter-Provincial Agreements

ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ

Summary

There are three interprovincial agreements that have an impact on the procurement activities of educational institutions based in Quebec:

°Õ³ó±ðÌý, the 2008 Agreement on the opening of public procurement for New Brunswick and Québec, and the Trade and Cooperation Agreement between Ontario and Québec. One of the objectives of these agreements is to eliminate local preferences, biased technical specifications, unfair registration requirements, and other discriminatory practices for non-Quebec resident suppliers in order to ensure equal access to procurement for all interested Canadian suppliers.

For more information on how these interprovincial agreements apply to Quebec educational institutions, please consult this (French only).
