McConnell Engineering, Replacement Of Heating Coils

The McConnell Engineering Building was donated to ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ in 1959 by John W. McConnell, a major benefactor of the University since 1911 and one of its Governors from 1928 until 1958. In the period after World War II when all of the Engineering faculties were expanding, this nine-storey structure doubled the number of classrooms, lecture rooms, and offices available.Ìý

Project Description:

The heating coils of the main ventilation systems of McConnell Engineering is at the end of their useful life. They must be replaced by low-temperature hot water heating coils. The specs are ready. The specs must be confirmed, and the projects should confirm if the local steam-to-hot water heat exchangers have enough capacity and if the fans can take the additional pressure drop.

The project should also include a rebalancing of the building which has significant air pressure issues.
