For nearly 70 years, the ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Department of Psychiatry has been at the cutting edge of advances in neuroscience, psychotherapy, diagnostic methods and therapeutic interventions. The Department is fortunate to have a large and diverse Faculty, who are committed to training the next generation of clinicians and researchers. The education mission of the Department is to provide excellent and innovative training at all levels of professional development (undergraduate, postgraduate, graduate studies and CE). The Department offers didactic and case-based teaching throughout the four-year medical school curriculum, as well as an 8-week psychiatry clerkship for Med3’s, and 4-week electives for Med4’s. The Department trains over 75 psychiatry residents and fellows, and offers one-on-one mentorship, a wide array of subspecialty rotations, an optional research track, and truly unique opportunities in neuroscience, psychotherapy and transcultural psychiatry. The Department also offers MSc and adÌýhoc PhD degree programs, with more than 2/3 of its nearly 60 graduate students receiving either external or internal research awards. The CE Program is committed to providing lifelong educational activities, fostering faculty development, as well as helping our RUIS partners’ to meet their teaching and training goals.
