Applying to the Bachelor of Science

Online Application

Students interested in applying to the Bachelor of Science will be required to choose a Science Program Group.Ìý This choice is made on the "Program Selection" page of the online application.

For guidance on how to complete the other sections of the online application, please see below, under Admission requirements and process.

On the "Program Selection" page of the application:

  1. Choose the Faculty of Science.
  2. Choose a Program Group from the following options:
Biological, Biomedical, and Life Sciences Group

Consult our Program page to view the list of specific programs

in each group and learn about how these can be pursued as

Liberal, Major, Minor, Honours or Joint programs.

Bio-Physical-Computational Sciences Group
Neuroscience Group (see special conditions below)
Physical, Earth, Math, and Computer Science Group

It is important to apply for the group that interests you most. If admitted, you will be restricted to the options available in that group when declaring your primary program of study (this is usually done at the start of your U1 year).

If you are interested in multiple programs in the same Program Group, you only need to apply to that Program Group once. If admitted, you will be able to choose your primary program of study from any of the options in that group.

If you change your mind later and wish to pursue a program from a different group, you will need to apply for an intra-faculty transfer (IFT), which can only be done after completing 1 full year of study at ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ. IFT requests are subject to availability of spaces, your academic performance (at ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ) and other conditions.

Interested in more than one Program Group?

Once you have submitted your first application and paid the application fee, you can submit a second application at no extra cost. Both applications must be forÌýthe same term and level of study (undergraduate), and must be submitted before the application deadline. Thereafter, each additional application submitted will incur an additional application fee.

For one application fee, you may:

  • Choose two different Program Groups in Science, or
  • Choose one Program Group in Science and one other option (outside of Science).

The order of your choices is not important. Both choices will be considered independently, and you will receive admission decisions for each.

Note for Neuroscience Applicants:

  • Only applicants with a Quebec CEGEP diploma may select the Neuroscience group on the application.
  • All other applicants may apply for transfer to the Neuroscience program after completing their first year at ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ and meeting the competitive requirements. This is a limited enrolment program and transfer is not guaranteed.
