Affiliate Members of the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders (SCSD) are considered Affiliate Faculty Members and will be given a ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ email account. This account is the official means of communication with Faculty Members and allows access to all online journals from ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ’s library.
An official ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ appointment as a (nil salaried) Affiliate Member of the SCSD is meant to recognize individuals who are making a significant contribution to the SCSD. This is a three-year appointment awarded to clinicians who meet all of the criteria in one of the following categories:
Category 1: Clinical Supervision in Speech-Language Pathology
Clinicians will be considered for Affiliate Membership when, in the last 3 years, they have supervised:
- At least two practica
- Peer coached practica will only be counted as one practicum
and
- A minimum of 36 days of supervision
- Days for Peer Coaching of Fall, Winter, and Spring practica are calculated as 1.5 days per day supervised

Category 2: Clinical Supervision in Audiology
Clinicians will be considered for Affiliate Membership when, in the last 3 years, they have supervised:
- The equivalent of 3 students per academic year worked
- All students are calculated, even in a Peer Coached practicum

Category 3: Teaching
Course lecturers will be considered for Affiliate Membership when they do one of the following:
- Are Responsible for an entire class
- Co-teach a class
- Teach the entire lab component of a class
- Teach special workshops organized by Faculty at the SCSD for the M.Sc.A students
(Please note that guest lecturers do not qualify.)

Category 4: Special Projects and Other
Clinicians involved in research projects or pilot projects that have a clinical practicum component involving ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ’s SCSD M.Sc.A students will be considered on a case-by-case basis
