The REPAIR chair is a queer-identifying, multi-migrant Arab who currently uses feminine pronouns and is enabled by society. Hiba is engaged in equity-focused education, research, and national initiatives alongside Indigenous, racialized, dis/abled, 2SLGBTQIA+ people. Hiba and the REPAIR group are committed to improving experiences of belonging for the diverse members of the Occupational Therapy program community, and for those who come next.Ìý

The group is currently working on securing respectful budgets and creating affiliate positions or appropriate compensation for individuals with experiential knowledge, expertise on questions of equity and inclusivity in education and/or rehabilitation, community/clinical partners who address health and rehabilitation inequities, and stakeholders from marginalized communities.
