Alert to anglophone or non-french speaking students communicating with aide financière aux études (AFE):  According to AFE, as of June 1, 2023, in accordance with amendments to the Charter of the French language, the Ministère uses French only in its communications, with some exceptions. You may receive services in English if you are: (1) a person declared eligible to receive instruction in English by the Ministère de l'Éducation (2) an Indigenous person (3) an immigrant who has arrived in Québec within the last six months (4) a person who was corresponding in English with the Ministère de l'Enseignement supérieur prior to May 13, 2021. If you declare in good faith that you fall into one of these categories, please stay on the line. Otherwise, hang up and call back using the French line.

Canadian citizens, permanent residents and refugees or protected persons may qualify for AFE programs if they are deemed a resident of Quebec for student aid purposes at the time of application.
