Fund purpose: To support activities that enhance academic advising and mentoring.
Types of projects: Peer-to-Peer mentoring, Ask-an-Advisor program, and any other advising and mentoring activities.
Funding available for 2024-25: $25,000
Eligibility: Open to all student groups, faculties and units.
Submission cycle:
- April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025 (applications must be received by March 14, 2025)
- Payments are issued starting May 1, 2024
To apply:
Submit the following documents in an email to studentgroups.dpsll [at] mcgill.ca (studentgroups[dot]dpsll[at]mcgill[dot]ca) titled "Funding Proposal: Academic Advising and Mentoring".
- A word document of no more than 750 words containing:
- Project description/summary and objectives;
- Expected impact/benefits to the population it will reach;
- How the project aligns to the purpose of the funds; and
- Timeline of project development.
- A budget proposal that clearly outlines the amount of funds requested and the projected use of the funds. Please use this template for the budget proposal.
- If requesting funding for attending a conference, please include written approval from your supervisor for attending that conference.
