CYNTHIA PERLMAN, MEd, OT(C), erg., is Director, Office of Interprofessional Education (OIPE) and Assistant Professor (professional) at the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy. She earned both her BSc. Occupational Therapy and MEd. in Educational Psychology & Counseling from ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ. She was named to the Faculty Honour list for Educational Excellence in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in 2022 and was the co-recipient of the Faculty Award for Teaching Innovation 2022, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, for her contributions in developing a curriculum-integrated community engagement IPE initiative between the Hospital Elder Life Program (H.E.L.P, Jewish General Hospital, Montreal, Qc) and first-year occupational therapy and physical therapy students.
Cynthia Perlman's research interests focus on curriculum and instructional design, including the design, implementation, assessment, and sustainability of an interprofessional education curriculum in health professions education and in community-integrated teaching and learning experiences.
She is a member of the Canadian Interprofessional Healthcare Collaborative (CIHC) and Interprofessional.Global.
