Founded in 1969, the Lady Davis InstituteÌýfor Medical Research (LDI) is an acute-care ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ-affiliated teaching hospital. Located at the Jewish General Hospital, it is one of Canada’s leading research institutes. With over 117 full-time researchers, the LDI has received international acclaim for research in cancer, hemovascular diseases, epidemiology, ageing diseases, HIV/AIDS, and psychosocial science. The discoveries made at the LDI have led to better patient outcomes across Canada and around the globe.
Home to Prof. Celia Greenwood's Statistical Genetics lab, and Prof. Claudia Kleinman's lab, the LDI was an integral part of the Ludmer Centre's vision and inception, thanks to her statistical methods and analysis of high dimensional genetic and genomic data. The neuroinformatics mission of the Ludmer Centre requires an in depth understanding and analysis of the sea of data available to researchers. This is why Prof. Greenwood's expertise and sophisticated statistical models have been an instrumental part of the Ludmer Centre.Ìý
In addition to Prof. Greenwood's team overseeing the Ludmer Centre’s statistical genetics research arm, the LDI is home to the ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Memory Clinic and specialized units in clinical proteomics, high performance computing, and research pathology.
