Ichiro Fujinaga appointed Associate Dean for Research and Administration
Professor Ichiro Fujinaga has been appointed Associate Dean for Research and Administration for 2016-17.  Professor Fujinaga is one of the leading figures worldwide in the fields of Music Information Retrieval and Digital Humanities in Music. He is also a successful and productive researcher, who has received major grants from many sources, including the US National Endowment for the Humanities and the Mellon Foundation, and Canadian SSHRC, CFI, and FRQSC. He has served as the director of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Music Media and Technology (CIRMMT) and chair of the Music Technology area. He will provide expert guidance to everyone applying for grants in the Schulich School of Music, and will represent the collective will of the faculty in committees across campus. His position will begin on September 1, 2016.
