Biography: Jasmine Parent grew up in a small-town on the south shore of the Gaspe Peninsula, Miguasha. She moved to Montreal to study her first passion, Human Nutrition, at ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ in 2008. Upon completing her master's in nutrition in 2015, she began working as a part-time course assistant at TLS on a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Sports Science and Nutrition. Initially, this was meant to be a stepping stone before graduating. However, this position began her professional journey in her second passion, Education Technology and Instructional Design. Â
In 2018, Jasmine began a master's in Education with the University of British Columbia. Soon after she began a full-time position as a Learning Technology Consultant at TLS. She currently works hard to support faculty in the use of learning technologies and various course design projects. As a new member of the OSE team, she is grateful to have the opportunity to combine her passions of science and education technology to support teaching and learning initiatives at ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ. In her spare time, you will find her cooking, hiking or practicing yoga.Â
