Mélanie Benoit

Mélanie received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Université de Sherbrooke in 2022. During her undergraduate studies, she worked as a registered nurse in a hematology-oncology unit, which sparked her interest in cancer research. She then worked as a nurse team leader for vaccination clinics during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she gained an insight into epidemiology and public health. Currently, Mélanie is pursuing a Master of Science in Epidemiology at the Université de Montréal, where she aims to combine her interests in epidemiology and oncology.

THESIS RESEARCH


Project Title: Sleep Quality and Ovarian Cancer Recurrence (supervisor: Dr. Anita Koushik).

Brief Description: Mélanie's thesis research focuses on the relationship between post-diagnostic sleep characteristics (such as sleep quality, sleep duration, sleep efficiency, and insomnia) and recurrence in high-grade epithelial ovarian cancer survivors.
