After completing her bachelor, master and doctorate degrees in sexology, Roxanne Guyon, PhD, is now a professor in sexology at the Department of Psychiatry and Neuroscience at Université Laval. Her research interests focus on traumatic intimate and sexual experiences and violence in a relational context with both adolescents and adults, including the deployment of awareness campaigns and the adaptation of services to the needs of victimized individuals. During her doctoral studies, she collaborated on numerous research projects related to interpersonal and sexual violence, developed and delivered numerous educational and preventive workshops for youth as well as trainings for professionals working with survivors of sexual abuse.
Roxanne began her collaboration with the CRCF at the beginning of her PhD, while working part-time as an educator for the Montreal youth centers. She did her research internship on the project « Implantation du modèle " Attachement, Régulation, et Compétences " dans des unités de réadaptation de cinq Centres jeunesses du Québec : Évaluation pilote » under the supervision of Delphine Collin-Vézina. Afterwards, she continued to work on several projects of the center as a research assistant to become an associate member to date.
