Patricia Wade joined ۲ݮƵ’s Faculty of Medicine in October 2018 as Director of the Accreditation and Education Quality Improvement (AEQI) office. In this role, she works in close collaboration with the Vice‐Dean, Education and with Associate Deans, Chairs and Directors of all educational units to determine the general direction of all the faculty's quality assurance and quality improvement activities and processes, including accreditation and education enhancement activities.
Throughout her Nursing career, Patricia has worked as a Perioperative Nursing Educator at the Montreal Children’s Hospital, a Perioperative Staff Nurse at the Montreal Neurological Hospital and at the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton.
In 2014 she received her Master of Nursing with a focus on teaching from Athabasca University in Athabasca, Alberta. She has been the recipient of numerous awards, including being twice winner of the Operating Room Nurses of Canada’s Drake-Thompson Writer’s Award and twice winner of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada’s Accredited CPD Provider Innovation Award.
