Samantha Taran completed her PhD coursework in Exercise and Health Psychology in the Faculty of Education at ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ, and holds a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology from ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ. Samantha joined the Office of Accreditation and Education Quality Improvement (AEQI) as the Accreditation Officer for PGME in March 2018. Shortly after, Samantha took on the responsibility of managing the Accreditation portfolios for Medical Education (PGME and UGME) and CPD, leading to her current position of Accreditation and Quality Improvement Officer for Medicine.
Samantha manages the quality assurance and quality improvement exercises for UGME, PGME and CPD, working in close collaboration with senior education leadership, committees and stakeholders to ensure compliance with accreditation standards. She often collaborates with the Education Enhancement teams in the AEQI Office, helping to align their education activities and projects with accreditation standards. Samantha has successfully completed two accreditation reviews since starting in her position, and looks forward to further success with the Medicine Accreditation team!
